FAQS
No! 100% absolutely not. They are just two guys talking about their lives and hoping that their conversations might fall onto the ears of other men going through the same thing.
Jim and Gary's only qualifications are that they are sympathetic human beings who have had the misfortune of losing their wives to cancer. They understand the importance of communication and have a soft spot for men going through the same thing and hope that their personal experience can help others cope and thrive.
No. While we do not bar anyone from listening, this podcast is NOT made for children, women, Karens who think they "need to tell us something", the woke crowd, or whiney-dumb-mother-f**kers who want to complain about something we said. We say whatever the f**k we want, when we want to say it, and we use very salty language. BE WARNED!
Losing a spouse is super hard. All of our lives, we (men) have been told to "suck it up and move on", "Crying is for kids", or to "rub some dirt on it and you'll be fine". For the most part, those things are good. They teach you how not to be pussy. They DO NOT however, teach you how to properly grieve the loss of your soulmate. For the record, we're not going to teach you how to do that either but... we are going to talk about it anyway. We're going to laugh. We're going to cry. We're going to yell and howl at the moon. Maybe drink some whiskey and maybe, just maybe... with a little understanding and compassion for our fellow men, help them make tomorrow a little better and whole lot less bitter. This is a safe space, no judging, no ridicule. We get down to the business end of things, where it hurts and then talk through it.
If you are offended by what we say, how we say it, or the language we use. This podcast is not meant for you. Respectfully, please leave. We are men, trying to solve our own problems in the best way we know how. Our job is not to acquiesce to your wishes or quite frankly, even consider them. We've got enough on our plate without having to worry that we're pissing you off.
